The facility is a 5,000-seat live performance venue designed to satisfy the full spectrum of the touring concert market between 3,000-seats and 18,000-seats. It includes a full fly tower and flexible seating that can convert from Broadway touring productions to center stage boxing. Even though there are many touring shows that prefer an in-between sized venue in which to perform, this is an underserved niche that exists in most markets throughout the country. Comerica Theatre was designed to complement the operations of the nearby US Airways Center, utilizing many of the same revenue concepts and many of the same operations staff who manage suites, sponsorships, and food and beverage operations. These were all non-traditional sources for theatres at the time but are quickly becoming more mainstreamed.
