Michael Hallmark
Michael Hallmark is a leading expert in the design and strategic development of sports and entertainment venues and the urban environments that support them. He was a founder and director of two of the nations most successful and fastest growing sports/entertainment design firms (Ellerbe Becket in 1988-1995 and NBBJ in 1995-1999) which eventually led to the development of dozens of innovated sports projects including 12 NBA / NHL arenas, 4 MLB ballparks, and several theaters. In 2004 he was named one of the nations most influential persons in the development of sports facilities by Sports Business Journal. His work in downtown sports venues eventually led to district planning as a means to integrate a broader range of urban uses and the better utilization public realm assets.
