Downtown Phoenix is experiencing a boom in a series of diverse projects, including a new urban residential and hotels, a $600M Convention Center expansion, a new lightrail line that connects downtown to other areas of the sprawling region, and a new downtown campus for Arizona State University that will bring thousands of students to the City’s urban core.

Future Cities, with JSED, LLC, is currently developing a multi-block downtown mixed use project - Jackson Street Entertainment District - to augment existing attractions there. Jackson Street will be the region’s first planned live, work, play ‘creative class’ development. Specific uses projected for the District include a concentration of urban loft and condo residential, boutique offices, service and lifestyle retail, restaurants, clubs and lounges, music and entertainment venues, outdoor street events such as farmer’s markets, art walks, as well as the continued use and support of the existing sports and arena venues.
